So, I learned a little lesson the other day, and thought I’d share it with you all.
Last weekend, as my husband was weed-eating, our outside outlets went out. All of them! As well as the outlets in our garage! Hubby checked the fuse box, all breakers were fine. We didn’t know what was wrong. So, he rigged up the garage door opener and the freezer to run from an outlet in the attic. Since his knowledge of electricity is basic, and mine is zilch, nada, none, we decided we would call an electrician on Monday.
Fast forward to Sunday night. Hubby is at Bible study with our friends. He is asking around about our problem. One of or friends (who has recently finished building a BEAUTIFUL log cabin just outside Jackson, by the way) had an idea. She said try the GFI plugs throughout the house. Long (enough) story short, she was right on the money. There was a GFI outlet in the garage that had thrown, and it messed up all our outside outlets!!!! Hubby reset the switch, and all was right in our electrical world.
So, the moral of the story is, if your outside outlets don’t work, check the GFI’s throughout your house.
